Professional Activities

Below is a partial list of professional activities with which I am or have been involved.

General Committees

I was a member of the executive committee of the ARC Research Network in Communications known as ACoRN. My role involved coordination of the National and International Workshops Program.

Editorial Boards

From July 2001 to December 2005 I was on the editorial board of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. I was also a member of the technical program committee of a number of confernces including the 2005 IEEE International Conference on Communications, the 2006 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, and the 2006 and 2009 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conferences.

Organisation of Conferences

I am or have been involved in the organisation of a number of local and international conferences including: the 2005 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) which was held in Adelaide in September 2005; the Australian Communications Theory Workshop (the 13th AusCTW was held in Wellington in early 2012); and the 2001 IEEE Information Theory Workshop which was held in Cairns.
