COMP30019 Graphics and Interaction - Apps@Melbourne, Semester 2, 2016

Graphics and interaction concerns the principles of 3D object modelling, behaviour and animation algorithms for the transformation of geometric models. Subject topics: Computer graphics, computational geometry, game AI, computer simulation, intro to robot vision & decision making and augmented reality...read the subject outline.

Apps@Melbourne: you will learn these principles of graphics and interaction by creating 3D Apps on tablet computers, and will be encouraged to publish your Apps to (e.g. the Windows Store). Check out some of the 2015 Apps from previous classes.

Watch a preview of Unity's Adam film (on youtube) created using Unity and rendered in real-time on an Octcore Intel Core i7 with just a single GTX 980 (released at Unite Europe 2016 in Amserdam on 31 May 2016).

In 2016 we will use Unity! - www.unity3d.com - specifically the CG shader language (for programming the GPU) and the C# programming language (for programming the CPU) running in Visual Studio on Microsoft Windows operating system (Windows 8.1 or higher for touch etc.).

Microsoft surfaces: You will be provided with a Microsoft Surface for use for the duration of the subject.
