SEquences and Their Applications (SETA) 2014 (November 24 to 28, 2014)

 

A trip to Australia would not be complete without seeing Kangaroos, Koalas and Penguins! We have arranged a half day private tour to visit Philip Island and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne on Wednesday 26th November. Philip Island is a popular tourist attraction located two hours from Melbourne. It is famous for the 'Penguin Parade', where large numbers of penguins can be seen returning from the ocean.

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne is on the way and is a perfect break for the journey. Spring is a perfect time to visit given the beginning of the flowering season:

Thanks to all who expressed interest in the earlier Doodle poll. The final plan is as follows:

  • Depart from the university at 12.15PM.
  • Cranbourne botanic garden Until 3PM.
  • Koala Conservation Park until 5.15PM.
  • Free time in Cowes until 6.45PM, there are many restaurants in the area.
  • Nobbies until 7:15.
  • Penguin Parade 7.30PM.
  • Return to Parkville around 11.30PM.
Please note that the cost of the excursion is not included in the conference registration and you will be able to signup when you are here in Melbourne.
