Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne. I received my PhD from the University of Cambridge, and an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Bristol. I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, and I also held a JSPS research fellowship at Keio University in Japan. I currently hold a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA, 2015-2018).


Research interests

My research involves applying methods from dynamical systems and control theory to flow instabilities. I apply these methods to problems in fluid mechanics (shear flows); in thermoacoustics (combustion oscillations); and in aeroacoustics (cavity oscillations).
