  • Cfdonline LogoCFD Online is a good site for pretty much anything to do with computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  • Gmsh is a great open-source GUI program (by Christophe Geuzaine and Jean-Francois Remacle) for creating meshes. Getting started is easy with the online screencast tutorials.
  • Rhinoceros is a CAD programs for macs. Well worth trying if you are trying to design on osX.
  • Pointwise is a commercial mesh generation program that runs on macs and as of recent versions, can export using the gmsh format (suitable for arb for example).
  • We use gitlab for software development within our group. It is an open-source server system that sits on top of git.
  • OpenFOAM and openfvm are some open-source CFD programs.
  • Ubuntu LogoUbuntu is a very well supported linux distribution with an impressive range of packaged software available. Highly recommended.
  • MacPorts Logomacports provides a packaging system for unix based software on macs.
  • The publication lists on these pages have been created using the script bibtexbrowser.
