establishment is located in the heart of Melbourne's business
district.

A short walk (less than ten minutes) or tram ride down Collins Street from the
Sofitel, and close to the Melbourne Town Hall, the location of the
Tutorials and Workshops, the four-star Novotel is built over the spectacle of
the Australia on Collins shopping plaza, and is close to restuarants,
shops, and theatres.

The three-star Ibis
is onveniently located in North Melbourne, close to the coach (and
airport shuttle) terminals and rental car agencies, and a short walk
from the Queen Victoria Market, Chinatown, and Daimaru shopping
complexes.
The Melbourne Town Hall is about 15 minutes on foot, or five minutes
by tram, and the Hotel Sofitel a further 10 minutes walk from there.
(The Ibis is also be the best-placed hotel for access to the
University of Melbourne and RMIT, but note that no conference
functions will take place at either institution.)
